-Dog Ranks-
Alpha: Strongest or best male and female pair. They lead the pack, but they don't make the final decision on everything. They control who may and may not join the pack. They also decide when to hunt, where to move to, etcetera. The Alphas are above all others and should be treated with respect
Betas - A male and female pair, they are just below the Alphas in rank. Only a beta may challenge an Alpha for their rank. They help advise the Alphas and make decisions when they are not around. If the Alpha pairs pups are not old enough to take control of the pack in case something happens to the Alphas, the Betas will take their rank until the pups come of age.
Deltas - They are the lead hunters and normally have to ask for permission from the Alphas to hunt. They lead other hunters in groups to take down larger game. The Deltas rank third in pack hierarchy.
Omegas - Omegas are the lowest ranking members, making up the majority of the pack. They usually do simple tasks around the pack, and very few get to go along with the Alphas when on a hunt. These are just your average wolves/dogs who hang around the pack.
Pups - The youngest in the pack. Pups are notorious for causing trouble and can be seen running about through the lands. They are the ‘future’ of the pack. Pups are considered pups until the age of 2 human years. (about 12-14 in wolf/dog years.)
Elders - Elders are those who are no longer in their prime. Though their body may be weak, their minds are exceptionally sharp, and these wolves/dogs are very wise. They give advice to other members, and a few work alongside the Alphas, helping make decisions for the pack
